I am writing to tell you about this amazing experience. I am so honored to tell the story of this community surrounding the tragedy in Crown Heights.
I particular want to tell you about this Lubavitcher woman that I interviewed. I know that it doesn't seem like the most significant of interviews but, I was extremely intrigued by her mannerisms.
When I produce this as a play, I believe that I am going to cloth the woman in very conservative dress with minimal colors. Her entire interview was centered around her events on one Shabbas, the Jewish version of the Sabbath. I am not certain but, I believed her to be a house wife who usually took care of the children that were making noise throughout the house during the interview. She was not well spoken and tended to repeat her words unnecessarily; however, her interview really helps to capture the image of the Jewish community of Crown Heights.
In my depiction of this anonymous women, I think I am going to try to replicate her speech and actions exactly in order to create an unbiased and accurate image of the Lubavitcher culture in Crown Heights.
